Not mine though.  If it were, I would NEVER let this go.  I don’t know this guy, nor do I have anything to gain by promoting his sale. I just wanted to share a spotless Z with everybody.

What started as your everyday Z-Car with the normal cancer spots (floorpans, battery tray, spare tire well, etc.), TexRex from Houston-Imports had the resources to save her and transform her into an absolutely mint example with a laundry list of parts to make this one wicked street car.

I call this paint Retina Scorching Red.  I’m sure it has a real name, but I like my name better.  The full race look with the bolt on ZG flares to stuff 10 inch wide wheels under the wells is undeniably menacing, but something about the original lines just stirs the soul.

The view from the rear shows off the intimidating, yet beautiful fuel cell.  Without popping the hood, you already KNOW this thing is a beast.

SO CLEAN!  This built up L28et is tuned to conservatively push out around 250 hp at 10 psi thanks to a Holeset turbocharger and Megasquirt ECU.  The shop who did the build, CarConnection, claims it was tuned with Las Vegas 91 octane in mind.  With 93 octane, it can safely be retuned for a pavement pounding 350+ hp.

The S30Z interior is by far, one of my favorites.  Everything is so simple, with all the gauges in plain view.  The white faced AutoMeter gauges definitely aides in visibility and the seemingly necessary 330mm Nardi Deep Corn steering wheel will never get old.

In order to tear up the canyons, the footwork definitely needed an update to match the turbo L.  Shipping and handling is taken care of via Tokico struts and Eibach springs, Wilwood 4 pot brakes and 15 x 7 Panasports with a 0 offset all around.  The long front overhang of the engine bay is tied up and strengthened by a Cusco strut tower bar.

Cruiser, street fighter or a capable track car…  Whichever way the future owner decides to go, they will definitely be starting in the right place.

Mahalo to 88SE from ForumsHawaii for shooting this ad over to me.
