Here’s a first for my blog. Isuzu Bellett GT-R. I honestly don’t know much about them other than the fact that they have a dual cam 1.6L engine and that they’re rare as unicorn poop. Somebody school me!
Proof that Watanabes look good on anything. I’ve been telling EVERYBODY who will listen to me that new(er) cars look great on small wheels and huge sidewalls, but not many believe me. This is the only picture that I remembered where I pulled it from. Props to Matt from Farm Of Minds

Rolled with Brice over to our friend Bryson’s house to check out his SR20′ed S13. Due to motor/money problems it’s been sitting for a while and a wasp decided to make it’s home right under the windshield wiper motor. After a few minutes of trying to kill it and looking like fools screaming and running around, we discovered brake cleaner is a great pesticide.
Brice actin’ like a fool.

I’m sure nearly everyone has seen the S13/180sx with a S30z front end conversion by now. While I was surfing the web I found more automotive abortions.
How about a ZG front end? LOOK AT THOSE PANEL GAPS! Ewwwwww.
S chassis truck conversion with a Hako nose? NATS is an automotive school in Japan and by the looks of it, they’re teaching kids how to build Fast and the Furious extras.
Another Hako conversion, although this time it includes the rear lights and bumper. This one is a little better executed and has a ton of nice old school cues… Oil cooler, fender mirrors, tsurikawa off the rear bumper and race paint…
It still should be killed with fire though.

How about the BRE scheme on a S13 with SSR SP1′s and power from an RB25?

There are a surprising amount of people who actually like this swap. S13/180SX with the S30Z front end. I don’t get why though. The lines of the Z front end are nowhere NEAR the lines of the S chassis rear, whether it’s the S13 or the 180SX. Apparently, there’s a company in Japan who makes swap kits for this conversion. Once again. Why?
I couldn’t find any information on this Z which looks like to be from an old issue of Turbo Magazine. Because it was featured in Turbo, I’m sure the motor is a complete animal, but the visuals… UGHH. It looks like someone welded a late 90′s Ford Taurus front end to the Z.
For the most part, I think head and taillight conversions should be left in the 90′s. However, there are a select few conversions that can be pulled off cleanly and enhance the looks of a car.
For Kirk… The Falken Tires S13.4 VIP-styled convertible. The Kouki S14 headlights compliment the s13 taillights as well as the boxy body. I would probably ditch the Sparcos for some Brides or Recaros though.
And the JDM Nissan Stagea wagon. Why can’t we ever get cool stuff in the states? Once again, the boxy body compliments the R34 headlights perfectly and the Bayside Blue paint from the R34 GT-R completes the package. Slam it lower on those Advan T5′s and call it a day.
