So I picked these up locally for a song. Seriously too good of a deal to not jump on them. 14×9 and 14×10 with 0 offset and nearly new 205/60/14r Federal tires.
Here’s some shots of my current favorite Z at the moment, courtesy of Inzane240, rocking 15×9.5 0 offset Epsilons in the rear.
I could get them to fit with max camber, a roll, pull, tug, baseball bat, etc., but I don’t want to. Probably just gonna sell them. Or stare at them until I find a car I can fit them on.
I have no idea how long ago this happened but I just found out that Hayashi Racing just started their USA site. Someone stop me from dropping $4,000 on some Yayois!
I noticed a thread on a local forum where a member was selling a set of Axis OG Sakuras (and all the idiots were talking about how awesome they are). I won’t get into how much I hate replicas because I know some of you guys are tired of me rambling, but under his description it states:
The legendary Sakura wheel has been re-issued. Sakura (Cherry Blossom) was one of the most iconic wheels in Japan during the late 70′s. AXIS has found the original mold, and updated it for a modern application.
Before trolling his thread about how Hayashi’s are the true OG’s and that his statement is stupid, I looked up the Axis Sakuras on their website. There it is in black and white (digital) ink, blatantly stating it to be true. WTF, really? What mold did they find?
By the way, has anyone actually ORDERED these from Hayashi? I know it still lists it on their website with pricing but everytime I search, no one seems to be able to confirm if they’re still for sale.

Hells yeah. Techno Phantoms. I really want to pick up some Techno Phantoms, Riverside Riverges or Star Sharks. Something a little more intricate and jewel-like than the wheels I already have.
Burgundy Hako sedan with some DEEEEEEEEEP 01′s. I love how classy the color is, as it probably wouldn’t work as well on a coupe.
Star Road’s always spotless S30Z now rocking color matched Equip 03′s.
Kenmeri on the new Work Meister CR01′s. I am not a fan of these wheels. I don’t know, I think it’s the shape of the spokes and the extra holes around the lug nut holes. In my opinion it makes it look cheap. *Flame suit on*
Beautiful TE72 on the new Gram Lights 57v. Not a fan of these wheels either. I thought they would grow on me but they still haven’t. Maybe it needs more dish. By the way, anyone notice the fender mirrors? NISSAN BABY! Take that, Brice!

After sleeping over at Justin’s house and being stuck in the garage for the majority of the night due to pouring rain, the sky cleared up on Saturday for a nice, albeit hot day. We woke up decently early and rolled on over to Aloha Stadium to check out HellaFlush.
It was a really good show with a wide variety of builds and a lot of projects saw their debut.
I finally got to check out Lance Harano’s Sprinter up close. This thing is amazing!

Meisters look mad on ANYTHING. If I had an S chassis (which I probably would have gotten if I didn’t get into my Dattos) or my old MR2, they’d definitely be sitting on Meisters. This facelifted “Iron Mask” DR30 is no different.
Speaking of Works… Look what’s been packed up and is on the way over the ocean for me!
Vintage Equip 02′s in 14×8 -14! I originally wanted some SSR Starsharks, but these came up on Club4ag. I rarely ever see 02′s on anything and the price of them kept getting lower. I made an offer and now they’re mine! OG and JDM, perfect for me!
The good: Rebuilt head. Clean title. Very little rust. Complete car with very little pieces missing. She wears some sweet Hella headlights. Idle needs to be raised but the motor runs strong.
The bad: Weatherstripping is shot. The 5 speed dogleg transmission grinds a lot if I’m not gentle and there’s a lot of play in the shifter. Needs bodywork.
I went over to Brice’s garage with the boys yesterday with the idea of changing all the fluids in the Goon. Turns out the nearest autoparts store doesn’t like stocking parts for a 40 year old car for some reason. No fuel filter, no oil filter, no GL4 gear fluid. Luckily I had a spare oil filter from the parts bin that I got with the Z. Fresh oil and we installed Brice’s old tach. Better than nothing I guess?
Also, I got to try on Brice’s Basset wheels (14×8 -12). Fitment pretty damn good in the rear. I didn’t even bother trying on the fronts since the 280zx front struts I’m planning on installing changes where the hub sits. Also, just for fun we tried on some slotted mags… 13×8 -50ish. Hahaha!
On a side note, the wagon came over the ocean wearing some Garage Autohero stickers so I emailed Ray over at Autohero (who builds BADASS cars, by the way). Turns out he did a lot of tinkering on the car. He informed me that she’s seen better days, but he confirmed that it does have a freshly rebuilt head. Sweet!

To top it off, our buddy Jordan got his 1jz Cressida running smoothly and that thing is SAVAGE. He played chauffeur for us all day.
On order: Brass shifter bushings, a full weatherseal kit, and custom 2″ drop blocks for the rear with 2 degrees of correction for the drop.
Next paycheck: Techno Toy Tuning’s front coilover conversion, RCA’s, tension rods and a full poly suspension bushing kit.
