I put together a little BBQ the day after HellaFlush as an excuse for everyone to bring out their cars and trade stories. Great times, good food and sweet cars. It just sucks that Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take as many pictures as I wanted to since I was busy manning the BBQ grill.
Super cool 1959 Datsun 1000. It’s got a real Hot Rod style to it.
My buddy Christian’s EF hatch. He was telling me he had to raise the car and this is his raised height. Haha, crazy kid.
Shakotan Ralph’s Cressida. Absolutely killer.
TE27 Corolla on Centerlines.
Justin and Mike’s 86. I’ve been watching this build on Facebook for a while now and finally getting to see it at HellaFlush and the BBQ was awesome. No shortcuts, it even has AC! Loving the SSRs. I want to buy another set of rims already.
Julian’s new Hachi. Sadly, he sold his Celica Supra but the new project is coming along beautifully.
Sweet 510. Color is awesome. Hayashi Streets are awesome. JDM grill is awesome. This thing is just a whole car full of awesome.
I still want one of these. One day I’ll own one.
I love seeing both of my babies together. I really need to go lower and space out the front of the Z. I don’t know if that’s a good idea though, I’d really mess up my exhaust as I’m already scraping it on big dips and bumps on the road.
I’ve been bit by the car bug lately. Usually I’m too lazy to do anything after I get off of work but lately all I want to do is work on the wagon. Took apart the dashboard to get rid of all the old nasty wiring, cleaned up the engine compartment a little more and started scraping off the deadening.
Don’t think I’ll ever own one (exceptions being an NSX or S2000), but damn, I love a clean EF/CRX.
I am so glad Black Widow body kits, head/taillight conversions and altezza taillights are dead. Stock body ftw!

And in with the Ruckus! Sold the old daily today to a friend of a friend and had them take me straight to the Honda dealership for a Ruckus. A lot of my friends, the sales and parts guys all thought I was crazy going from a street bike to a scooter, but it’s cheaper on insure, maintain and upkeep. Until I start modding it. I’m already looking at new seat frames and handlebar kits (not to mention stretch kits).
I want an 12″ Advan A048 tire stretched over some ridiculously wide rim already!

More pictures I’ve found from the show that I like.
The Kyusha Kai crew sittin’ pretty.
There’s an Infinity M30 somewhere behind the smoke. This is under explicit instructions to not do any burn outs or drifting at the show.
The other end of the crew. Ralph’s Cressida lookin’ as amazing as ever!
This one’s for Freddy. A lot of the cars in the lot were just as amazing, if not more amazing than those in the show. Shame about the SportMaxes though. The car itself is super fresh.
Another parking lot picture. The late, great, NSX rockin’ some Project Mu brakes and what looks like polished Advan F7’s. Hopefully, we’re gonna set up a shoot with this car soon.
The amazing Levin that always makes it’s way to the different meets and shows that I attend.

My vote for best of show. Incredible stance.
This guy was easily the most dedicated there. He was unable to finish his car in time so he got towed behind someone from Makakilo (which is a good 25 miles away), with no pedals… Only a handbrake! If that’s not love for the scene, I have no idea what is.
Clean Cressida wagon flossin’ some Watanabes and a fender job. Note the California plates. A couple days before the show, I heard through the grape vine that a cargo ship came into port carrying a bunch of cars for the show, but I didn’t see any cars I haven’t seen before that were worth shipping over.
This Evo always captures my attention. Voltex aero, mag blue TE37’s and a whole lot of detail in the engine bay. He won best “Time Attack Style”, which he deserves.
And best VIP went to this Lexus LS430/Celsior. Big bodied car, Work rims and Brembo brakes. Super fresh but I’m so thankful I didn’t go the VIP route when it was time to buy a car.
More coming later! Time for a haircut!

After yesterdays tsunami failure, HellaFlush4: Aloha Kings went off without a hitch. While a lot of cars weren’t up to HellaFlush standards (mine included), it was a really laid back show and I got to meet some cool people (Kenny and Mark from FatLace!).
I’m too lazy to upload the few pictures that I took, so here’s some I found online.
DOPE Honda Ruckus. Probably not as crazy as the So Cal and Japanese dudes do it, but still awesome. I really want to get one soon.
My Kyusha Kai brothers, Julian’s Celica Supra and Ralphs Cressida.
This car totally should have won something. It was previously featured on the HellaFlush site and rocks some awesome SSR Professors.
Finally, presenting my baby… The front spoiler barely cleared a 2 inch block of wood and the exhaust was an inch off the ground. I got stuck on a road joint on the way over. I had to jump up and down in my seat while gassing it to get myself freed. Not quite as flush as it should have been, but I really got screwed over by a wheel repair place. More on everything later since I’ve been up since 6am.
Incredible looking 510. Nice stance with what looks to be SSR Reverse Mesh wheels. I really love the paint. I think *when* I get around to building a 510, it’s going to be either red, green or purple with fat glittery flakes. The Z will always be my baby and the next car is going to be my fun project car that I can do crazy stuff to.
The engine bay sure is a head scratcher and the purists are PISSED. The Honda F20c from an S2000 looks like it’s at home with a whole lot of space in there for a turbocharger. While it would have been nice to have kept it Nissan, imagine this motor screaming at 9000rpm. I’m a convert.
One thing I love about my job working in the hotel business is the fact that I get to meet people from every end of the earth. Some of them are boring while some are absolutely insane. This Japanese guy stayed at our hotel last week and he claimed to know the emperor of Japan. Then he proceeded to do karate moves in his underwear at 4 in the morning in the middle of the lobby.
Anyway, with people coming from all over the world, a lot of them will have some interesting stickers on there suitcases. In our storage room, we collect whatever stickers falls off the bags and stick them to a cabinet.
Japanese, German, Australian, UK, Philippines… You name the country and we probably have a sticker from there.
By far my favorite sticker. Team Camel Lotus/Honda F1 GP from Suzuka.
