One day as I was leaving my apartment’s parking garage, I noticed a car that I haven’t seen before…
I LOVE these old Coronas. The majority of the people living in my apartment complex are old, but there are a few enthusiasts… the fact that it has a brand new license plate has me thinking that somebody just pulled it out of storage with the intent to restore it. Here’s to hoping anyway.
Also, I thought I took pictures of a 240z that I is always parking on the street, but I guess they didn’t save. Super clean with a vinyl top. New neighbors who are J-Tin enthusiasts would be great! Time to start leaving my number under some windshield wipers…
Thanks to Brad, here’s another picture of the incredibly clean Corona
from a couple of posts back.
I’m in love.
I love a good powder/baby blue. It’s unfortunate modern cars can’t pull it off quite like the oldies can. I have no idea why, but this picture makes me happy. SO CLEAN!

Big ups once again to Rod. Sick video from Nostalgic 2 Days. My jaw literally dropped.

My fetish for wagons just won’t go away. I have a fever. And the only cure. Is more cowbel… I mean wagon.
c72c over on Japanese Nostalgic Car found this gem of a ’74 Mark II Corona at a junkyard! It’s rockin’ some sweet mismatched SSR’s. Deep Longchamps in the front and Formula meshes out back.
165 series tires stretched on 14×9′s! INSANE!
So awesome! It’s been getting a lot of hate from JNC, but we’re a new breed. Low and slow baby!

And I don’t mean blow up dolls. I finally got a USB drive for my camera’s SD card so here’s some pictures from an old school Toyota meet a couple of weeks ago.
Ralph’s shakotan sled. Best. Cressida. EVER!
Julian peddling his wares.
Super clean Hachi. I <3 this thing.
Equips 03′s look so goooooooood. And check out that ride height!
Reflectors, speedbumps and potholes cower in fear!
Kalei’s (sp?) shovel nosed Corona looking as good as ever.
Pretty clean fastback Celica rocking some Texas plates. I went with a couple of friends to check out one of these probably about 5 years ago, but it was rotting away…
I love it when the wheels cost more than the Blue Book on the car! Baller status right here!
… as long as it’s a Corona.
Went on a super fail mission with Brice on Sunday. Tried to go to the junkyard, but they were closing their gate as we arrived. Then we attempted to go to a shop that sells aftermarket parts for my Ruckus. Of course they were closed. As a great conciliation prize, we did spot a weathered, 4 door Toyota Corona at the shop next door.
Looks like it’s mostly surface rust, with all the major components still intact. If I had a place to park her I’d leave my number on the window and turn it into this:
Mmmm… Nostalgic Hero, we need your magazines in Hawaii.
My neighbors Celica. Some super old lady. We also saw a spotless TE72 Corolla wagon in some parking lot that we left a number for, but I didn’t think to grab a picture of it.
