After an exhausting Saturday of walking around Aloha Stadium in the blistering sun, Sunday morning started off the same way. Picked up my friend at the crack of 8:30 and headed over to the Ala Moana Shopping Center for Cars and Coffee. It was surprisingly disappointing.
A couple of friends that I spoke to at C&C told me that they usually have about 60 cars or so that come out but on Sunday, there were probably 30. I love my Kyusha, but I also love exotics. I was hoping to see the Murcielago LP 670-4 SV, Maserati MC12 and DeTomosa Pantera on 15″ SSR Formula Meshes that I’ve caught a glimpse of before, but alas, they didn’t show.
Ironically, his license plate is “FML”. Must be tough driving a Lambo around.
Super ballin’. M3 on LM-Rs? Yessssss…
Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4. Brand new, still sporting paper plates. It could use a drop and spacers.
‘Dat ass… Panteras are seriously an underrated car. So much presence.
Bond. James Bond. Daniel Craig is a good actor but the simple fact that they had to butcher a perfectly good, classic Aston and make it an auto because he can’t drive stick makes me sick.
The owner of this guy said it was built and tuned in the mainland by the SP Engineering crew. 750hp on upgraded turbos…
BUT CAN HE OUTRUN MY Z!?!
All in all, it was a little disappointing that the crowd wasn’t as big as I was expecting, but there were some beautiful cars there (not to mention some nicely enhanced ladies). Sorry, no Kyusha coverage in this post. Just wait for tomorrow!
While browsing Hybrid Z, I came across some shots from Crazy Octopus… The owner of one of my new favorite Z’s. Browsing his Flickr account, a British car caught my eye. That’s right. A British car. And not a Lotus or an Aston.
Fantastic cars, gentlemen.

Last month Honolulu held the Big Boy’s Expo, which is a celebration of all things manly. Cars, models, MMA, alcohol… Hell, even my favorite strip club had a booth! Adam’s Car Care Products usually has an Audi R8 or Corvette to do demos on during shows, but this year they had something different…
Instead of a stock showcar like the R8 or the ‘Vette, this Gallardo was an absolute stunner wearing these matte black Volk TE37 G2’s.
I literally stopped in my tracks and stared at this car for about 10 minutes.

But this was just brought to my attention. Footage from HellaFlush4: Aloha Kings by 360VM. Pretty dope… can’t wait for the full cut to come out!
No matter where you are on the internet, you can’t get away from the terms “stance” and “Hellaflush”. What has started as a fad from the Volkswagon crew, it quickly became a full fledged phenomenon that knows no boundaries. Every car looks better dropped with some nice fitting wheels so when I heard Mark from HellaFlush was looking to come to Hawaii and put together an event featuring these rides, I immediately emailed him and spoke with my co-contributors at SpeedHawaii.
I really wanted to help put this together and make it happen because I know that Hawaii has some of the sickest rides in the world and we’re always on the forefront of the tuning scene. I just want as much exposure for our little island as possible.
You can bet the Kyusha Kai crew is going to repping HARD.

I forgot all about my old Flickr account! The picture quality is so much better than Photobucket, and there’s still all my random stuff uploaded to it.
The last Old School Meet I had, prior to starting Kyusha Kai. The Hachi crew rolls together and they roll HARD. I don’t know what happened to the detail shots I got of them, but I’ll be sure to get some at the upcoming Kyusha Kai Meet x Potluck x Cruise. Old school Toyota heads are insane when it comes to attention to detail.
I LOVE this picture. I think it embodies what Kyusha Kai is all about. It’s one of the pictures that helped me to come up with the motto… Which will be revealed soon.
Awesome Supra. The owner, Julian, runs into the same problems as me. Whenever people see the car, they expect an old Filipino or Japanese dude driving it. Instead there’s a punk kid driving around. I’m gonna change that soon enough with my new set up…
Brothers. Dan’s 260z and my 240z.
His is auto-crossed and mines is a street prowler.
The view of Diamond Head from Oahu’s unofficial racetrack/greatest touge.
The Old Man’s Mustang. I love this thing. There’s nothing like a vintage V8 rumble.
All original. Super pimp white interior. Just wish it was a manual transmission though. The project Mustang that’s been sitting forever is going to go in the opposite direction. Hot rod engine, manual trans, crazy stance, the whole nine yards… Damn you economy for slowing us down!
The view from my apartment’s Garden Deck. I love BBQ’ing up here. There’s no place like downtown Honolulu.
Ribs dripping in BBQ sauce ready to go on the grill, cheap beer and…
… Tako (octopus) and wasabi spicy ahi (tuna) poke. Poke is basically raw seafood mixed with different sauces, onions, ogo (seaweed) and whatever else. I never used to like raw fish until just a couple of years ago, but now I can’t get enough of it. I still don’t touch tako or squid though.
Oh and the Ono Hawaiian Seasoning is the greatest thing ever. Toss it on a steak and you won’t need any kind of extra seasoning or sauce. Come over and I’ll show you how good it is.
