This abortion of a pick up truck was for sale on Craigslist a while back. I can just imagine what that guy was thinking… Let’s get a perfectly good 620 and graft a Frontier front end to it! I bet it would look AWESOME!
But I still want it. Found while searching Craigslist.
Datsun forklift for $1800. All it needs is some deep dish, era appropriate 8″ wheels. HAH!
I almost acquired a 1972 Toyota TE28 wagon today. I took Brice out on a date today to try and check out the wagon (since he knows more about Toyotas than I do), but the guy didn’t return any of my calls. It would have been the perfect project toy. Minor rust (nowhere important), 3TC with a 5 speed trans, Thorley header, coilovers in front, running reliably and best of all… IT WAS $1000! Sucks because now I have a hard on two door wagons.
That could have been me! But WAY more ratty, lower and with some better fitting wheels. Too much poke for my taste.
Oh well. Gonna order some Modern Motorsports rear brake parts for my Z to make me happy. S13 set up in the rear with the Arizona Z Car Wilwoods in the front shall be had! Then an RB swap! THEN THE WORLD!
I want a 510 wagon. KA24 powered for RELIABLE daily driver status. I figure a rusted one for a grand plus another couple hundred for the motor and trans. It’d be nice little project to run around town with and learn how to do body work on.
I found this on Maui’s Craigslist.
A ’69, grandma driven Goon with 54,000 miles. Perfect looking car, although I’d feel horrible for hacking it up for a project. Plus, the price is high $5500. I’m looking to spend a grand. HAHA.
The dilemma is about my Z. I’ve been thinking of letting her be as is so I could concentrate on a wagon but Brice is talking me into buying a Koyo radiator. So sexy, but so expensive. He’s not really talking me into it, more like “Hey, you should get a Koyo”. If I do that, I’d want to redo the whole engine. Repaint the block and engine bay, tuck wires, shave holes, etc. I found this for some inspiration.
Those headers are so beautiful.
IDK WHAT TO DOOOOOOOO…
ALSO, my brother is graduating from a college in Oregon and he’s going to start a business up there. My sister is going to move up with him and they’re going to buy a house. If I were to move up there, I’d have a job secured. I’m contemplating it because all this talk about Canby is making me sad I live on an island. I’d be closer to NorCal friends and JCCS would be a fun road trip every year.

This is the second time this guy posted this up on Hawaii’s Craigslist. I have no idea how much Bluebirds usually go for, but with an estimated 20-25 Bluebirds in the United States, you can be DAMN sure there won’t be one in your neighbor’s garage.
I NEED this car. Once again, donations are accepted to the Kyusha Kai fund.
Pics are from the last posting.
I really wish I lived on Maui so I could take some proper photos and get the specs.
Here’s an awesome deal just waiting for the full Kyusha Kai treatment. The great thing that came out of our economy crashing is that everyone is getting rid of their toys. The Catch 22? Because of our economy, I can’t afford to buy them all. First generation FB (SA22C?) RX7 with unbelievably low miles! and it’s coming from the original owner. Even I would have a hard time slicing up such a nice, stock, classic for a crazy suspension and wheels… And I HATE stock cars.

This thing is AMAZING! He came out to one of my old school JDM meet and greets that I put together. Twin turbo 1JZ, CLEAN body and just pure bad ass-ery. This beast sounded crazy too! Sickening growl at idle and a banshee scream when revved up. I can’t even imagine what it would feel like to wind her up and drop the hammer. All that’s stopping me is $12,000 and a place to park her.
